If anxiety is running your life, it doesn't have to.

You're not broken and you don't need fixing. Anxiety is a pattern — and patterns can change. CBT gives you the tools to change them, for good.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone. But some things come up again and again.

You lie awake at night replaying conversations, wondering if you said the wrong thing.

Your chest tightens before meetings, phone calls, or social plans — and sometimes for no clear reason at all.

You keep putting things off because the thought of starting feels overwhelming, then feel worse for not doing them.

You need constant reassurance from people around you, and even then the doubt comes back within minutes.

You cancel plans at the last minute because it just feels like too much — then feel guilty about it.

You're tired of being told to "just relax" — as if you hadn't already tried. It's not that simple.

How CBT helps with anxiety

NICE-recommended for anxiety disorders

Anxiety isn't just a feeling — it's a cycle. A worried thought triggers a body response (tight chest, racing heart), which makes you avoid things, which makes the anxiety grow. CBT helps you see that cycle clearly and break it.

You won't just talk about your anxiety. You'll learn specific, practical techniques to manage it — and understand why they work, so you can use them long after therapy ends.

Most courses of CBT for anxiety run 8 to 16 sessions. We review progress together as we go, so you always know how things are moving.

  • 1
Understand the patternWe map out your anxiety cycle together — what triggers it, what keeps it going, and where the exits are.
  • 2
Test the thoughtsLearn to notice anxious predictions and check them against reality, instead of treating them as facts.
  • 3
Face things graduallyStep by step, at your pace, you'll do the things anxiety has been keeping you from — and discover they're manageable.
  • 4
Build your own toolkitEvery technique is yours to keep. By the end, you'll know what to do when anxiety shows up again.

What your first sessions look like

Knowing what to expect makes it easier. Here's how we start.

Free call

We have a chat

Fifteen minutes, no obligation. You tell me what's going on, ask me anything. If I'm not the right fit, I'll say so and point you somewhere better.

Session 1

We map it out

I'll ask about your anxiety — when it started, what triggers it, how it shows up day to day. We'll build a shared picture of what's happening and set clear goals together.

Sessions 2–4

We start working

You'll learn your first techniques — noticing anxious thoughts, testing them, and beginning to approach situations you've been avoiding. You'll have something to practise between sessions.

Ongoing

We keep going until you don't need me

We review progress openly. The aim is to finish — to give you the skills to manage anxiety on your own, not to keep you coming forever.

Common questions about anxiety therapy

How does CBT help with anxiety?

CBT helps you understand the patterns that keep anxiety going — the thoughts, behaviours, and body responses that feed each other. You learn practical techniques to break those cycles, and the changes tend to stick because you understand why they work.

How long does CBT for anxiety take?

Most people see meaningful progress within 8 to 16 sessions. We review openly as we go, so you always know how things are moving.

Do I need a diagnosis to start?

No. You don't need a diagnosis or a GP referral. If anxiety is getting in the way of your life, that's enough reason to reach out.

Can online therapy work for anxiety?

Yes. Research consistently shows that online CBT is as effective as in-person therapy for anxiety. You need a private space, headphones, and a decent connection. That's it.

What if my anxiety isn't "bad enough" for therapy?

There's no minimum threshold. If anxiety is affecting your sleep, your work, your relationships, or just making life harder than it needs to be — that's enough.
